As part of our ongoing efforts to refine our Q2 Caliper SDK certification class, we have added a detailed certification class agenda to q2developer.com. If your organization is considering sending developers for certification, check it out to learn what’s covered, how to prepare, and what is expected from participants. These training classes are designed for both Q2 internal developers and external developers to learn the Caliper SDK and to gain guided, in-depth experience with our technology. All participants who complete certification are empowered to quickly develop powerful, fully-customized extensions for their financial institution. Click here to register for the next training. (For Financial Institution developers please talk to your Relationship Manager first.) Training Agenda

Caliper SDK

The Caliper SDK makes it easy to create extensions that give users a best-in-class experience, seamless alongside the rest of the UUX. As development becomes more ambitious, extension authors need to provide their own assets or use front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

Therefore, this month we gave developers finer control over how assets are served. This new feature gives developers the power to leverage the built-in tools provided by those frameworks — speeding up development and further enabling impressive custom applications that are visually consistent with the wider Online banking experience.

Marketplace

Marketplace has launched a new feature, granting Marketplace Partners the ability to process off-platform cancellations. Previously, these cancellations have been processed manually within the FI’s Marketplace administration tool. This new workflow will allow partners to automate how app cancellations are handled when a user does not cancel via Online banking.

Moving forward, all Marketplace Partners must implement this endpoint to automatically process off-platform cancelations. Documentation for this can be found here.

Team Changes

Our team continues to grow as our Caliper SDK developer community grows. We are excited to introduce our newest team members:

Chase Dorsey – Chase joins the Caliper SDK team from the Retail Consumer Wellness team where he was a front-end developer. He joins the Caliper SDK team as a full-stack developer. Chase’s primary focus will be on the Q2 Marketplace. Outside of work, Chase enjoys building computers. He is currently gathering components for a new build he is working on.

Robert Hotz – Robert joins the Caliper SDK team with broad Caliper SDK experience gained from creating custom products. Robert’s primary focus will be on the Q2 Marketplace. A fun fact about Robert-- he once built software for an online cow salesman. For personal entertainment, Robert enjoys riding dirt bikes.

Mikel Weigel – Mikel joins Q2 from Kasasa where she was a Client Marketing Manager and Consultant. She has 17 years of experience with media placement and account management in advertising and media placement platforms. Mikel is joining the team to increase Marketplace App end-user adoption and help Marketplace Partners develop marketing strategies to grow their user base. Outside of work, Mikel loves going to the movies and hiking.

Buck Green – Buck joins us from a Financial Service provider where he was a product specialist and internet salesman. Buck previously built a sales tool to quantify and compare future performance for his potential clients. This tool that he built drastically lowered the sales cycle and substantially increased close rates. Buck is joining the team using his sales experience to support the Marketplace to be successful for Q2, our Partners, and Financial Institutions. Outside of work, Buck loves getting in the outdoors, taking his dog to the lake, and spending time with friends.
